Banana Cinnamon Swirl Chocolate Chip Bread

930 am swim classes mean I'm going to have to get up earlier if I want to bake on Saturday mornings #milflife

The long title is worth it…

Preheat oven to 400 degrease and grease bread 9 x 5 pan.


2 ripe bananas

2 eggs 1 cup white sugar

1/3 cup vegetable oil

1 tsp Vanilla Extract

1 1/2 tsp cinnamon

2 cups flour

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1 cup mini chocolate chips

Butter, Cinnamon and Sugar for topping


Combine eggs, bananas oil, sugar and vanilla with a mixer until smooth. Set aside. Sift together dry ingredients in a second bowl. Pour into banana mixture bowl. Stir until smooth. Add the chocolate chips and stir until even. Pour batter into greased bread pan. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on top and use a butter knife to swirl. Bake for 45 -55 mins. Check at 45 and use a tooth pick to see if batter is cooked through. Once out of the over smoother the top with butter while hot. Sprinkle again with cinnamon sugar. The is no such thing as ‘too much’ cinnamon and sugar on this one. Trust me.

Cinnamon Swirls if my feed looks like it's having an identity crisis lately maybe it is! Some days I'm in one state then on to the next. Depending on what day of the week it is {why is that so hard to keep track of!} my curly headed sidekick is usually with me. What matters most is that I'm back home to her every night. It's raining here today...as much as I love the sunshine maybe it'll help me settle into some R and R. And ps..I wonder who put the giant whole in this bread hmmm
