  • 2 Apples
  • 1 Tsp Lemon Juice
  • Strawberry or favorite fruit preserves
  • Water
  • Cinnamon and Sugar
  • Premade Pie Crust
  1. Leaving the peel on, core and slice apples into extremely thin strips. Slice as thin as possible.
  2. Place apples in a shallow dish and fill the bottom to about ½ inch water and 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Set aside.
  3. Place apples in microwave for about 3 minutes until warm and apple strips are flexible to work with.
  4. In a small dish mix 3 tablespoons of preserves with 1 teaspoon warm water. Mix well.
  5. Roll out the pie crust into a rectangle about 6-8 inches long.
  6. Cut crust into 3 inch wide strips.
  7. Take one strip at a time and using the back of a spoon spread out the preserves mixture.
  8. Layer the apples horizontally across the crust.
  9. Fold the bottom portion of the crust up and press with fingers to "seal".
  10. Roll up crust with apples coming out of the top tightly so it looks like a rose.
  11. Place each rolled rose into a greased muffin pan.
  12. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar to taste.
  13. Bake at 350 degrees for 14-17 minutes until crust is golden.
  14. Serve with whip or al la mode and enjoy a beautiful treat!
