Marinated Steak over Grilled Radishes and Cilantro

marinated steak and radishesStop at your local farmers market, pick up a bushel of brightly colored radishes and get ready to get your grill on. Steak that screams summer, that’s what I’m talking about. This marinade is my ‘go to’ and you can change it up slightly to meet whatever steak goals your heart desires.

Steak and Marinade

Ingredients :

1 lb Sirloin Steak Tips or Flank Steak

¾ cup Cup Worcestershire Sauce

½ cup A1 Steak Sauce

3 tablespoons Soy Sauce

Salt and Pepper to taste

2 cloves crushed garlic

¼ cup chopped parsley

Place steak in a quart zip lock bag or place in a shallow dish. Salt and pepper the steak. I like to use a zip lock so I can move the marinade around without having to get my hands dirty. Pour in sauces and mix up moving the meat around at the bottom. Add in crushed garlic and parsley. Let the steak marinate for at least 45 minutes. The longer the steak marinades the better it is, 24 hours recommended. You can marinade up to 48 hours.

Radishes

Ingredients:

6-8 radishes, thinly sliced

1 glove of garlic minced

¼ cup chopped cilantro

2 tablespoons EVVO

Salt and pepper to taste

In a mixing bowl toss the sliced radishes with EVOO, minced garlic, cilantro, salt and pepper. Place the mixture into the center of a large piece of non-stick tin foil. Fold up so food is fit snuggly in it. Place on grill or grill pan for 20 minutes. Radishes should be tender but slightly crispy.

Arrange radishes onto a serving dish, top with sliced steak, garnish with a handful of fresh cilantro and your summer will start to sizzle.
