One of the number one questions I get on the Gram’ is where to eat when you visit Philadelphia. The city of Philadelphia is actually a foodie’s dream. Some of the world’s top restaurants are right in the heart of Philly.
Restaurant week is here in Philly and at the top of my list was to check out a. kitchen
a.kitchen is located right in the heart of Rittenhouse Square within the AKA boutique hotel. Enter during the hustle and bustle mid-week for lunch and what you’ll get is a warm and inviting atmosphere with a contemporary American menu that won’t disappoint. It’s mid January here in Philadelphia and walking in warmed me right with a.kitchen’s award winning wine list and warm service.
With a special menu for Center City Restaurant Week, a colleague and friend of mine and I toasted to our recent January birthdays. We ordered plates to share and were delighted with the Little Gem Lettuce. Up next, we went in for some main events: The Patty Melt and Parmesan Gnocchi. The gnocchi was perfectly pan-seared while the Patty Melt went down like the best carefully curated burger you’ve ever had. Extra pickles are always a good idea.
One of the best parts of a.kitchen? It’s part of the High Street Hospitality Group which means the restaurant receives fresh baked goods from one of the most amazing bakeries in the City, High Street on Market. The rolls, bread and cookies were brought in that day from the High Street. I don’t know about you, but I live for carbs. The good ones.
Be sure to sneak in before Center City Restaurant Week ends but even when it does, a stroll through Rittenhouse will still start with a. kitchen on the top of your list!
